Serve your project

kiln dev starts the dev server. It reads package.json, tsconfig.json, node_modules and your npm, yarn or pnpm lockfile — no migration step and no config file to write first.

Hot reload

A change is live 8 ms after you save. Node with Vite takes 800 ms on the same reference project. Component state is kept across saves, including through a full page reload.

Browser logs

Console output streams from the browser to your terminal. You debug without leaving the terminal.
The changelog lists what changed in each release.
